Kiko Loureiro unveils new single “Mind Rise” with captivating and direct riffs.

The guitarist focuses on the fundamentals and delivers a powerful sound in his new track.

Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro released the single "Mind Rise" last Friday, the 27th, the second from his upcoming solo album, still untitled, scheduled for release in October. The new track highlights Loureiro's return to the fundamentals of the instrument, with powerful riffs and a direct sound.

Recorded by producer Adair Daufembach and mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen , “Mind Rise” also features the participation of former Angra Felipe Andreoli ( bass) and Bruno Valverde (drums). The trio had previously worked together on Kiko's previous album, Open Source , released in 2020.

According to Loureiro, the new single reflects a return to the essentials. “After years of playing in large arenas and headlining festivals, there’s something invigorating about focusing on the fundamentals. The new song captures that, with catchy and direct riffs, using a deep pentatonic scale and a lower register to immediately engage the listener,” said the musician.

The new album is now available for pre-order at the guitarist's official store. Below you can listen to the new single released by Kiko Loureiro:
